It's looking good.

Stopped by ESI to use the fax machine (it's quite nice being on excellent terms with a centrally located office building), faxed in my credit check form and now officially have the ball rolling.

After I left ESI, I got a phone call to say that my potential landlord had called to check my references. Specifically, he asked the receptionist: what kind of person is he? She gave me a glowing review, but when she offered to transfer him to someone who had actually worked with me, landlord to be said: nah, no need, thanks.

I think that's a good sign.

For the love, I hope this works out. NICE one bedroom, east facing windows (!), totally metro accessible, all utilities included, perfection.

And my landlord to be has a low, deep, and very soothing voice. I mean, could I ask for anything more?

UPDATE
The phone just rang. It was my landlord. Officially, my landlord. Begin moving in: Friday.

The words you're looking for are an 'oh', followed by a 'thank,' and a 'god.'
